The Group Consultation for Inclusion Staff (GCIS) is a dedicated support group designed for Special Education Needs (SEN) teachers and Learning Support Assistants working in UAE schools. The group meets online once a month, and is facilitated by experienced Clinical Supervisors from The LightHouse Arabia. It provides a safe space for inclusion professionals to reflect, learn and grow together. The GCIS is a free-of-cost closed group, and participants can bring any topics or issues related to their practice as part of the SEN team. Some of these topics relate to managing student behaviors and needs, collaborating with parents, teachers and colleagues, as well as issues including, but not limited, navigating ethical dilemmas and addressing caregiver burnout.
LAYOUT OF SESSIONS:
This Free-of-cost group for inclusion staff will run online via Zoom.
This closed group runs on a monthly basis and will comprise of maximum 9 participants and the Clinical Supervisor. The group will run on Thursday mornings for two (2) hours, from 8 am - 10 am.

Free-of-cost as part of The LightHouse Arabia’s community service agenda for the school community.
