Smart Start: Enhancing Children's Social and Emotional Skills

An 8-week Group, in-person at The LightHouse Arabia (Al Wasl Rd branch)

Suitable for: Children, ages 7 - 9 years old 

Investment: 2,850 AED + 5% VAT (fee for 8 sessions)

Kindly note: An Introduction for parents will take place on Zoom on Tuesday, 9th January, 2024 from 5pm - 6pm, for those who have registered. A Zoom link will be shared separately in advance. An intake questionnaire will be emailed to parents upon registering your child in the program.

About the Social Skills Program:

In this program, children will embark on a journey to develop essential social behaviors that support both their social and academic achievements. Through engaging in group activities and guided discussions, they will enhance their emotional intelligence and build the foundation for positive interpersonal interactions.

Program Highlights:

Throughout the program, your child will:

  • Enhance self-awareness and self-regulation - Recognize and manage their comfortable and uncomfortable emotions.
  • Expand emotional vocabulary - Develop the language to name and express their feelings more effectively.
  • Improve communication skills - Understand and respond to both verbal and nonverbal cues with skills such listening, reflection, and boundary setting.
  • Learn problem solving and decision making - cultivate the ability to cooperate, work through problems, and make decisions as part of a group.

Program Dates:

Social skills sessions for children will take place on Tuesdays, from 5pm - 6.30pm in-person at The LightHouse Arabia

8 Sessions: January 16th, 23rd & 30th / February 6th, 13th, 20th& 27th /March 5th

Additional Details:

This program is suitable for children who:

  • Are ages 7 to 9 years old.
  • Experience challenges with social communication.
  • Struggle with emotional regulation.

Kindly note, this program may not be suitable for children who require one-on-one support in a group setting and/or have severe communication difficulties.
