Dr. Fareeha Khan , DClinPsy (UK)
Clinical Psychologist
I aim to provide a non-judgmental space in which we can safely explore and process difficult thoughts, emotions, memories and life events that are causing you suffering and getting in the way of you living the life you desire. As well as developing a better understanding of your difficulties, therapy can help you to develop different ways of managing difficult life situations. I hope to meet you where you are at, support you to reconnect with your strengths and provide a tailored intervention to promote your wellbeing. I avoid medical jargon and aim to provide therapeutic support that is accessible, collaborative, culturally sensitive and effective.
I am a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist with over eight years of experience providing psychological interventions to adults struggling with a range of clinical and non-clinical difficulties (including low mood, stress, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem). I have worked across public, private and charity health sectors, where I specialised in supporting adults to recover from traumatic or difficult life events experienced in childhood and adulthood. I have significant experience supporting asylum seekers and refugees with complex trauma and working with people from marginalised and minoritised backgrounds. Whatever brings you to therapy at this time, I recognise the strength and courage it takes to notice suffering or discomfort in ourselves, and to take committed action to alleviate it. Whilst therapy may not always be easy, I reassure you I will be with you every step of the way.
