Emilie Boutin , MSW (Canada)
Clinical Social Worker (DHCC Branch)
I sincerely believe that life, although challenging, is a beautiful adventure that therapy may truly enhance. Therapy contributes to building greater self-awareness, learning to accept our authentic self and understanding the impact that our story may have on our present behaviors, attitudes and choices. All of this allows us to develop effective coping strategies and may open our lives to new possibilities one would not expect.
My commitment is to co-create a trusting relationship between us where all parts of you are welcomed, cared for and understood. My goal is to make you feel safe, heard and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
In my work as a therapist, I take a holistic and client-centered approach to your individual needs. Tailoring my approach to my clients, I strive to support you in achieving your personal and emotional goals, fostering a sense of empowerment and growth.
From a young age, I was drawn to hearing about people’s unique stories and inner life and I was naturally inclined to listen and to know the true essence of the people I would encounter. As I grew older, my interests led me to pursue a career in Clinical Social Work, which has been beyond fulfilling for me. Born and raised in Canada, I lived in Qatar for several years prior to moving to UAE and have had the privilege to work within private, community and healthcare organizations with children, adolescents and adults in the field of mental and medical health and wellbeing for the last 14 years. I have specialized in several areas of psychological difficulty and I work with adolescents, adults and families.
