Counseling Psychologist

“ In life, the goal is to find happiness and contentment, and at times this can seem elusive. Sometimes we need support to find the right path, and my goal is to provide that support through authentic and meaningful interpersonal engagement.”

I was born and raised in the Midwest in the United States, where I received both my education and training as a Counseling Psychologist.  I moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2005 and have since worked with children, families, and adults from all corners of the globe.  Living and working in the Middle East for the past 13 years has provided me with an appreciation for the rich diversity that this region has to offer, and has enhanced my intercultural skills.

My goal as a Psychologist is to help everyone that comes into my office feel that they have been heard, met with compassion, and been given the appropriate tools, and support needed to help them on their journey.  In my over 20 years of experience, I have developed my approach to focus on how the presenting problem is impacting individuals personally, socially, and interpersonally (especially families), and from this to foster a person centered approach to cultivating therapeutic goals.  No feeling or situation has to last forever, and once this is truly embraced, the hope that is needed to get through any tough time can be found.
