The Group Supervision for School Counselors (GSSC) is a small group of school counselors that meet once a month with a Clinical Supervisor at The LightHouse Arabia. The Clinical Supervisor is a practicing psychologist at The LightHouse Arabia, who has had previous experience supervising psychologists. The GSSC is a closed group, and the counselors can bring any topics or issues related to their practice as school counselor. Some of these topics relate to working with students, parents, and colleagues, as well as issues including, but not limited, to ethical dilemmas, caregiver burnout.
LAYOUT OF SESSIONS:
This closed group runs on a monthly basis and will comprise of maximum 12 counselors, the Clinical Supervisor, and a TLA Master’s level intern (if applicable). Groups will run in-person at The LightHouse Arabia on Tuesday Mornings: 8am-10am. There will be 9 sessions that run throughout the school year (three Terms).
INVESTMENT:
AED 2,250 (excludes 5% VAT) for 9 sessions running from September, 2022 - June, 2023. This works out to AED 250 (excl. VAT) per counselor per 2 hour session. We request that payment be made upfront to secure your spot. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
