ABOUT ACT THERAPY:

ACT is one of the fastest-growing, evidence-based behavioral therapies, with demonstrated effectiveness for children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, anger, and low self-esteem. It helps individuals improve their psychological flexibility, accept their internal experiences, while moving towards the life they value. While ACT techniques have been widely adopted and practiced, their application within an experiential framework often remains a challenge for practitioners.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

In this 2-day intensive training, participants will take a deep dive into ACT. Participants will be learn through didactic presentations, experiential exercises, and role-plays and will gain knowledge of:

  • The common road-blocks for the application of ACT therapy for practitioners.
  • How to apply ACT skills when supporting children, adolescents and adults.
  • Different tools and techniques that are used in ACT therapy specifically around anger, self-esteem and anxiety.
