"My aim is to support clients to move on with their personal / family life and career, helping them to achieve their full potential for a balanced, happy and contented life”.
Before joining The LightHouse, I was a senior Consultant Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry in the UK NHS. My Consultant-level career began in Scotland in 2003 and then in London from 2012 – 2016. My lifelong interest in psychology and what makes people behave the way they do, combined with my medical training and qualification, led me naturally to train as a psychiatrist.
During my consultant training I completed a one year part-time course in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which enhanced my skills in assessing and assisting patients in psychological ways.
I am known by my patients and colleagues as being very calm, warm, understanding and supportive, because it is in my nature to go out of my way to help others to overcome their psychological and emotional issues and lifestyle problems.
