Once you make the decision to start therapy, your journey with The LightHouse will begin with a free 15-minute consultation with a counsellor/psychologist.
A counsellor/psychologist will call you at a scheduled time to do an initial basic assessment of your needs. Part of the problem can often be working out what the problem is, and this phone call gives us an opportunity to understand your needs and recommend the therapy and therapist required. We will ask about the frequency, intensity, and duration of your concerns. This is done to avoid having a first session appointment with someone who is not suited for the issues you present with.
